Sintra is 30 minutes away (by car) and 1h away (by train) from Lisbon, but trust me when I tell you: it’s completely worth the day trip, because that's where you'll find one of the most Instagrammable Places in Lisbon. It has a lot of beautiful monuments and, so far, I’ve visited Palácio da Pena, Quinta da Regaleira and Palácio de Monserrate (all three on the same day, actually). However, this time, I went back to visit Palácio da Pena again – yes, it is really that beautiful, you’ll want to come back to, don’t judge me! 😂
Sintra fica a 30 minutos (de carro) e a 1h (de comboio) de Lisboa, mas acredita em mim quando digo: vale totalmente a viagem! Tem imensos monumentos incríveis e, até agora, já visitei o Palácio da Pena, Quinta da Regaleira e Palácio da Monserrate (os três no mesmo dia, na verdade). No entanto, desta vez, regressei ao Palácio da Pena – sim, é assim tão lindo, também vais querer regressar, não me julgues! 😂
First thing first, the Pena Palace ticket price. If you are between 18 to 64 years old, the ticket to the palace will cost you 13,30€. Besides that, nowadays, you can’t get to the top of the hill by car. Instead, you can walk, get a tuk tuk or a bus. I took the bus (“Circuito da Pena” from Scotturb) and the hop-on hop-off costs 6,90€ (it’s cheaper to get that ticket instead of one to go and another to return).
Em primeiro lugar, o preço. Se tens entre 18 a 64 anos, o bilhete para o palácio irá custar-te 13,30€. Além disso, hoje em dia já não é possível chegar ao topo da serra de carro. Em vez disso, podes caminhar até lá, apanhar um tuk tuk ou um autocarro. Eu optei pelo autocarro (“Circuito da Pena” da Scotturb) e o hop-on hop-off custa 6,90€ (fica mais barato comprar esse bilhete do que um de ida e outro de regresso).

Note: the ticket is valid for the inside of the Palace, however, it is not allowed to shoot there. I can assure you that is a completely stunning visit. Personally, I loved the dining room, the arab saloon and the green room.
